Jewellery should be beautiful. But it should also be responsible.
At Catherine Zoraida, sustainability is not a trend we have adopted — it is a principle that has shaped how we work from the very beginning. From the metals we source to the packaging we use, every decision is made with both craft and conscience in mind.
Recycled Silver with a Remarkable Provenance
Our sterling silver is recycled — but one of its origins is one of the most meaningful parts of our story. The silver is recovered from NHS X-ray film: medical material that has served its purpose and would otherwise go to waste. Through specialist recycling, it is refined and transformed into the high-quality sterling silver that forms the foundation of our pieces.
It is a small but powerful example of circular thinking: material that once helped diagnose and heal people, reborn as jewellery designed to be worn and loved for a lifetime.
Fairmined Gold
Our gold plating uses Fairmined Gold — sourced from certified mines where miners receive a fair price for their work and communities benefit from the Fairmined premium. For us, the beauty of a piece is inseparable from the conditions in which it was made. Fairmined Gold gives us confidence that the people at the beginning of our supply chain are treated with dignity and respect.
Eco-Friendly Packaging, Gift-Ready by Design
We believe that the experience of receiving jewellery should feel special — and that it should not come at the planet's expense. Our packaging is eco-friendly, made of natural materials and designed to be as beautiful as the pieces inside: ready to gift, and kind to the environment.
Master Craftsmanship, Made to Last
Perhaps the most sustainable thing we do is make jewellery that lasts. Each piece is made by our master craftsmen in sterling silver, 18ct gold plated silver and solid gold, designed with longevity in mind.
In a world of fast fashion and disposable accessories, we are committed to the opposite: slow, considered, meaningful design.
Our Commitment, Ongoing
Sustainability is a journey, not a destination. We continue to look for ways to reduce our environmental impact, improve our supply chain transparency, and make choices that reflect our values as a London and Cotswold designed, nature-inspired brand.
The natural world is our greatest source of inspiration and a vital source of calm and wellbeing. Protecting it is only the beginning. Regenerating it is how we make sure it can inspire and restore future generations too.
